Abhishek Parekh, a mechanical engineer by training with a voracious appetite for knowledge that cuts across a spectrum of disciplines—from engineering and sciences to economy and law, and from history to philosophy. My curiosity knows no bounds, as evidenced by my mini-library at home, which houses over 300 books on a wide array of subjects. My enthusiasm for learning and an unyielding optimism are among the traits that define me, setting me apart as one of the most positive individuals you’ll likely encounter.

Leadership has been an intrinsic part of my character since my childhood. I took the initiative to start the first cultural club in my undergraduate college, a testament to my proactive spirit. My leadership journey didn’t stop there; I served as the Vice President of the ISTE students’ chapter twice and led as the head of the Training and Placement Committee. My commitment to making a difference extended to being nominated twice as a regional working committee member in a distinguished student organization.

Entrepreneurship runs in my veins. Among my ventures, I started a tutoring service with friends, capitalizing on our collective expertise in a variety of subjects. The entrepreneurial spirit didn’t wane during the pandemic; I seized the opportunity to complete over 20 online courses in coding and development from Coursera, which spurred us to establish a web development company. Although it began as a fun project, it was a stepping stone into the entrepreneurial world.

My passion for machines and product development led me to co-found 3DP Connect LLP with classmates after completing our undergrad. Our startup focused on manufacturing FDM 3D printers and providing 3D printing services. A significant highlight of my journey was when I successfully pitched our startup, leading to an MOU with IACE, a joint venture by Maruti Suzuki India and the Gujarat government.

The pursuit of knowledge being a continuous journey, I cleared the Indian Patent Agent Examination conducted by the central government of India. This achievement was a step further in my quest for advanced knowledge in engineering and science. To quench my thirst for learning, I decided to pursue my MS in Advanced & Intelligent Manufacturing at Northeastern University, Boston campus. This unique and rigorous course blends fields like mechanical engineering, robotics, computer science with advanced manufacturing technologies, including 3D printing, Industry 4.0, and digital factories. Here, I am at the frontier of engineering, ready to explore, innovate, and lead in the world of advanced manufacturing.
